Colorado Springs Roofer Fined $110,000 for Forging Warranties
The Colorado Springs Gazette reported this week that Central States Roofing has been ordered to pay $110,000 to settle allegations that the company forged warranties on more than a dozen roofs it installed at the Air Force Academy in 2007. Billed as the city's oldest commercial roofing company, Central States boats major clients such as the Colorado Springs International Airport and the World Arena. Bill Hauschildt, the company's owner, admitted responsibility for the forgeries and apologized in an interview with the Gazette. Hauschildt added that he is currently enrolled in an ethics class to help him avoid similar mistakes in the future.
